THE HERD

Add a little theatre to your dining experience, dine at The Herd to watch chefs gently sear your cut on a roaring open fire in this decadent dining den. Our house herd is the Red Sussex from Royal Windsor - famous for its marbled beef, ideal for a tender steak. It is served alongside other house favourites - Highland, Angus and Wagyu to name a few. Every single cut undergoes a thirty-day dry ageing process, for the best balance of tenderness and taste.

THE SHIP INN

A regular favourite in the Telegraph’s ‘Top 50 Best British Pubs With Beer Gardens’, this iconic coastal inn in North Norfolk dates back 300 years - making one of the oldest drinking dens in Norfolk. THE CATCH

If you’ve got a hankering for locally sourced, sustainable fish and chips, you’ve come to the right plaice! The Catch is a gourmet seaside kitchen where this classic British favourite is served fresh from noon 'til night. Hooked on supporting local suppliers, we source fin-tastically fresh fish from as close to home as possible. A twist on the classic fish and chip menu, you could say we’ve gone for a more so-fish-ticated approach... The secret recipe batter is the lightest you'll find and, whether you fancy a sprinkle of smoked paprika salt or a dash of chilli vinegar, we guarantee you’ll have the best-dressed chips on the Norfolk Coast.

The fine dining style menu changes daily - the Shieldaig Estate has one of the most extraordinary larders. From the rare breed lamb and Highland cattle to the decadent lobster, plump oysters, and freshly-shucked scallops, most of Shieldaig's foodie delights have been locally reared or caught just a stone’s throw from the hotel.
